This simple, yet satisfying butternut squash recipe will surely be a hit at your holiday table. This recipe is sweet and savory and is a great side dish!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 medium sized butternut squash

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

  • 1/4 tsp. salt

  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon

  • Sprinkle of ground cloves

Yields 4 servings

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. (180 degrees Celsius).

  2. Wash and peel your butternut squash.

  3. Cut the butternut squash in half lengthwise.

  4. Scoop out the seeds.

  5. Cut the squash into medium sized cubes.

  6. Add the maple syrup, salt, cinnamon, and cloves.

  7. Mix until the cubes are evenly coated with the spice mixture.

  8. Bake for 2 1/2 hours.

  9. Remove the butternut squash from the oven and mix well.
