Easy Beef Pot Roast

 
 

This shoulder roast is so moist and delicious. It’s easy to make, with no searing necessary.

Materials:

Dutch oven or cast iron pot

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 kosher beef shoulder roast

  • 4 small white onions

  • 2 small red onions

  • about 1/2 head of garlic

  • 1 tbsp salt

  • 1 tsp pepper

  • About 1/4 cup red wine or apple cider vinegar

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 425˚ F

  2. Peel onions and garlic

  3. Slice onions

  4. Place half of the onions and garlic on the bottom of the pot

  5. Sprinkle 1/2 tbsp salt

  6. Sprinkle 1/2 tsp pepper

  7. Add some of the vinegar or wine

  8. Place the meat on top

  9. Add the rest of the salt, pepper, onions, garlic, and vinegar

  10. Bake at 425˚F for 1 hour, then switch the temperature to 350˚F and bake for 2 hours
